“Sigh…It’s only started holiday and I have to work. Sigh. Can’t I take a rest? After this mission I have to go forest climbing for hours in my school trip. When I came back after this trip the next day I have to go back to school again. I want to have some rest. Can’t I NOT do this mission?”

“Sure no problem,” the woman on the phone said. “I guess we can just let Mr. Sakeru run away...”

“WHAT? MR. SAKERU?”

“Yes. This mission is related to Mr. Sakeru. Are you coming?”

“Yes! I’m coming! So when do I start?”

“I will come and fetch you in an hour later. Get prepared. Don’t worry about your equipments and weapon. It is still here, safe and sound.”

“Okay. Roger!”

Actually I’m not just a 16-year old high school kid but an assassin. No one knows about it except my teammates in the special unit who works in a very secret company called ‘Shakunetsu’. ‘Shakunetsu’ is a company where we have special missions which police normally couldn’t do. The company is divided into many categories where each categories does special task such as help and rescue or assassination or even research but I happened to belong to a special unit called ‘Night Assassins’. Why is it a special unit? It’s because instead of guns, we bring other kinds of weapons like swords, daggers, axe and others to our mission and also we do special kinds of task. Only a person with an extraordinary physical body can enter this unit and I was chosen by them because of my remarkable sword skills. Where do I learn my sword skills? Well, I’ll tell you later.

I packed all my clothes into my luggage bag and before I leave my room, I took out the battery of the phone and changed the SIM card. I guess my friends wouldn’t be able to call me these past few days. Oh, who cares? No one calls me before so I don’t think I will expect someone to call or message me. I walk out of my house and there awaits a red sport car with a woman sitting on the front trunk.

“Come on. We don’t have much time.”

We finally reached ‘Shakunetsu’ and in there it was just like the military. Everyone was busy and Emiko brought me to the special unit’s room. Inside there was a room filled with steel closets and a few benches and my teammates were already there sitting, waiting for commands.

“Hey Yu! Long time no see! I knew you will come for this mission.”  Ken said.

“Now just quiet down and listen to me,” Emiko said. She was already standing beside the white blackboard. “This mission is regarding about the man Mr. Sakeru, the boss of the company namely ‘Nippon Trading Corporation’. He had been kidnapping people and does surgeries on them so that he can sell off their organs. I want you to investigate where Mr.Sakure is and assassin him. You may kill when necessary. Night Assassins, dismissed!” Emiko walked out of the room.

“Hmm… so we have to break into the company tonight and investigate. This is very annoying.” Said Keniichi.

“If you hate doing this mission you can always quit, Ken.” Said Yosuke.

“Heheh. I know but because it’s annoying that’s why it’s fun. Isn’t it, Yu?”

These three men here are my teammates. The one with the loud mouth is Keniichi, or Ken for short. He is specialized in claws. And that polite guy is Yosuke. He’s a twin blade specialized. Don’t look down at his slim weak body because he’s very quick on his attacks. Never ever try to underestimate him. And that cold cool looking guy who haven’t been saying a word ever since is Koyasu. He’s a Japanese sword expert. I rarely saw him talk except during missions since he’s the leader of our group. And as for me, I’m a sword professional. I’m quick in sword handlings with only using a hand but my sword skills are no match than Koyasu. Well, I guess that’s all about the introduction so let’s get into the mission!

“Hmm… we have to climb to the top of the company to break into Mr. Sakeru’s office. Any ideas?” asked Ken.

“Let’s do it,” I whispered.

We were actually hiding in the vent, progressing our mission and we crept through it. Lots of securities were actually guarding the company at night shift but we didn’t get discovered by them. We finally reach the office and all the lights were switched off. No security seemed to be guarding the office so we break into the office secretly from the vent. Koyasu made his commands by pointing his fingers and we went and search for clues. Yosuke was checking the right cupboard full of files while Ken on the left cupboard. Koyasu was searching from the office desk and I was trying to find clues on the computer which I had hacked through. As I browse through the files, I saw a folder containing the names of the victims whose organs had been sold. Feeling curious, I looked in and when I did, I saw my little sister’s name. Her profile said that she had been successfully operated from the surgeries and the company had sold her kidneys, lungs and heart to a very rich family from a foreign country. I immediately felt shocked, but very damn angry too and just as I was going to bang the computer, Koyasu made an announcement that he had found the location of Mr. Sakeru and told us to leave at once. Still shaking a little, Ken asked me if I’m okay and I regain my focus doing my mission. Mr. Sakeru! I’M GONNA KILL YOU!!!!

“I saw one of his files and found out that tonight he’s going to be here in this company,” said Koyasu. We were happened to be hiding in the bush near the entrance of another company. “We must take precautions at all time no matter what and finished what we’re here for. If we just rush in we might get ambushed by them…what the?” As Koyasu finished half of his sentences, I rushed into the entrance because I was being impatient and fury and all my mind was about killing Mr. Sakeru.

“What the hell is he doing?” Ken said.

“Follow him!” Yosuke said. “It’s suicide for him to just rush in and attack alone! We gotta save him!” The three of them too followed me into the company after I’ve broke through the entrance.

When I entered, I have never guessed that only hell was awaiting me. Lots of men with a machine gun were already pointing at me. Soon my teammates broke into and found out that they have been ambushed as well. We were surrounded by tons of Mr. Sakeru’s men, with guns pointing us without mercy. At this time, a voice broke our tension of panic, “Well. Well. Well. Look what do we have here? The Night Assassins! Hahahaha!”

“Ugh…! How do you know about us?” asked Ken, still being frightened by the circumstances.

“I already knew that you these groups and I got a message about you four assassins are going to kill me tonight so I’ve set a trap on you by fooling you about me being here. You are right about me being here though but now you’re all hopeless! Hahaha!”

“DAMN YOU! Why did you kidnapped Ayaka?” I shouted to him in fury.

“I don’t know who you’re talking about. *Snapped finger* Kill them.” After saying all these words, Mr. Sakeru walked away.

All our corners were our enemies. Even if we moved one step we will be sent to hell without knowing it.

“Get ready to fight,” Koyasu encouraged us. When one of the men began to shot, we took out our weapons and began engage in the battle.

We separated ourselves into different direction and managed to dodge the raging bullets. Ken had already strike one of the men in his body when we escaped our awaiting deaths. Yosuke quickly stabs few of the men while Koyasu strike off one of the men’s gun and slashed him. With enough speed, I also managed to kill some men.

 We all knew that this madness will not stop and will keep on going forever so Koyasu commanded us, “we can’t kill all of them here! We have to escaped!”

“Right!” all of us answered and we started striking the enemies off our escape route. Ken and Yosuke reached the exit first but when me and Koyasu tried to escape, the entrance but unfortunately blocked the securities and all the guns were pointed at us.

When we made our final gulp to face our fate and surrendered by dropping our weapons to the floor, one of their leader said, “Don’t kill them first! Keep them in the basement and guard them! If we were to kill them first, it will be hard for us to find track of the other two assassins so we should prison them and lured the other two out!” The men still held their weapons tightly in their hands, but some of them came to us and tied us up.

Meanwhile on the other hand…

“Oy Yosuke! Koyasu and Yu didn’t manage to escape there. Do you think that they were killed?” asked Ken.

“Hmm… I don’t think so. Maybe they’re held as hostage to lure us there. With their kind of situation, I also don’t think Koyasu and Yu will able to escape there by themselves. We should turn back and get them out there.”

“Right!”

“Damn it! Let us out!” I shouted, while banging on the door hard. Koyasu and I were locked in this basement room and there isn’t even a tiny hole for us to make an attempt of escape.

“Cool down, Yu!” yelled Koyasu. “Don’t forget that you’re a trained assassin, Yu. Have you forgotten about that?”

“Yes. I know that!” I yelled back. “But I can’t just let Mr. Sakeru run away...! *smack*”

“Get a grip of yourself. If it wasn’t for your impatience we wouldn’t have end up like this. You’re a trained assassin, Yu. How dare you abandoned your main mission and do it on your own for the sake of your selfishness? We worked as a team; don’t you get it, Yu? You don’t want your comrades to get killed because of your selfishness, do you? We can’t do anything now but to wait for Yosuke and Ken to save us.”

While waiting, Koyasu managed to hear the guards said, “Mr. Sakeru went back to his office tonight. He said that he is going to make a business appointment tonight with his client. So...Ughh…!’

The door was locked open and the door opened. When Koyasu and I was about to make a sneak attack on the guards, we noticed that it was Yosuke and Ken.

“Ken! Yosuke!” I shouted happily.

“Here’s your equipment. We managed to it retrieve back from the guards. We should leave here for now,” explained Yosuke.

“Just now I heard from one of the guards saying that Mr. Sakeru is at his office now. Let’s head there and get our mission done,” said Koyasu.

“Heheheh. Next time don’t try stupid acts. Okay, Yu?” said Ken.

“Right!” I smiled.

“Yes, I’ll see you tomorrow. Goodbye.” Mr. Sakeru put down his phone. Then he heard some sound from his door. “What’s with the guards?”

As Mr. Sakeru approached the door, suddenly the door flung opened…

“Huh? It’s…you! You, that assassin! But...how?”

“Too bad for you, Mr. Sakeru.” I said. My teammates had beaten those guards fainted and they were guarding the door this time.

“Hmph! I’m not letting you to get in my way!!!” Mr. Sakeru took out his gun and aimed at me.

I managed to dodge his gunshot and strike his gun off his hand with my sword. Mr. Sakeru immediately was frightened till he dropped himself to the ground and backed himself to the back of the room to the wall.

I picked up the gun that he dropped and pointed at his forehead and said, “You have kidnapped many people and sold off their organs. Not only them but Ayaka-chan too. This is an unforgivable sin. You belonged to hell, Mr. Sakeru. Goodbye...!” *BANG!*

“Sigh… I finally finished my mission.” I lied down on my bed. Just as I was about to rest my mind, suddenly my hand phone rings. I wake up and reached my phone and it says that I have one new message. The message writes, “Hey Yu! Tomorrow’s the trip! Have you prepared yet? I’m kinda excited about tomorrow! Ja, see you tomorrow! Bye! From: Mikoto.” Well, I guessed someone cared about me after all. Hahaha. But still... arghh…! I’m so beat up to go for that forest trekking! Sigh… Well, nevermind. *smiled*

Mission Accomplished!

Woohoo! *Celebrates* Actually this story has been delayed for a week so I firstly want to apologise first. *bows down* Actually I am going to write a love story that has to do with foods but soon I started to switch writing to this story. Yep, this story is only one whole story. If it gets popular, we might even have a series of it! Night Assassins Christmas Special: Falling Snow - Part Two: Dreamy Hopes

PART TWO – DREAMY HOPES

“Ken! You’re awake!” I said.

“Huh? Where am I? Ouch, my head,” Ken just woke up, finding his head hurt. Ken was lying on the bed and his companions were beside him.

“The poison has been removed from your body. What happen?” asked Yosuke.

“Oh yeah. I was drinking with a lady then I was taken to the back alley. Then this lady took a needle and punctured into my neck. The next minute I knew I was dizzy and then I fell,” explained Ken.

“Diamond…” I said.

“Diamond?” asked Ken, still a bit drowsy.

“She’s the one who’s poisoned you. And also we had found out who Teufel are,” said Yosuke.

“That’s good. Let’s go. Ugh!” said Ken.

“Doctor said that you still need to stay in bed. We don’t even know where they are so we can stay until tomorrow morning,” said Koyasu. “You better go back first, Yu. You still got school tomorrow.”

“Alright.” And I just left them.

Hmm… I have to meet Mikoto tonight at the party. I wonder if I was able to attend it since troubles had arose. Damn those Teufel! If they hadn’t appear I could have spend this holiday seasons peacefully. I was on my way to school as usual and then I saw Mikoto on the street. Before I could even call out her name, my house was grabbed by someone.

“No. No. No. Don’t call her name or else you will be sorry,” the man grinned and he released his hand.

I turned around and looked… it was Jade! Darn! I didn’t bring along my weapon and worst still I can’t just attack him on the street with everyone around.

“What do you want?” I yelled at him.

“Patience. Patience. You don’t want the girl to get killed, don’t you?” jade hinted me and I found that his teammate Halcon was aiming his sniper at Mikoto on top of a tall building.

“Okay, what do you want from me?” I asked him in a low voice.

“I want to ask you where is Shakunetsu’s headquarter. Could you please tell me?”

“Why should I tell you?” I asked back.

“Because you have no choice,” and I saw Halcon readied his sniper.

“I thought your companion can hack our headquarters’ computer system? You can check from there!”

“We tried but the security system is too tight so we were unable to hack through. Now where is it?”

“Why do you want to know where Shakunetsu is? I thought you guys only want to challenge us?”

“You sure you want to leave your little girlfriend to die?” he asked patiently.

“Tch! It’s at the old construction site near the sea,”

“You better not lie to us or let’s you guys will die. Goodbye.” And Jade just left.

Why does he want to know where Shakunetsu is? Are they looking for something?

“Hey Yu! Good morning! What’s wrong? Your face looks so pale,” greeted Mikoto as she approached me.

“Oh. Nothing. Hey Mikoto, tonight I might not be coming. Sorry,” I apologized.

“You got a part time job to do?” she asked.

“Yea. Sorry. If I finished early I might even go there so until then please wait.”

Mikoto just nodded her head happily.

“The little brat says that the headquarter is around here,” said Jade to his companion, as they entered the construction site.

“But I don’t see anything,” complained Diamond.

“!!! Who’s there?” asked Jade because he sensed something in the darkness.

The Night Assassins showed themselves from the darkness and smiled at them.

“So you guys here eh,” said Jade calmly. “So where is the entrance to Shakunetsu?”

“There is no entrance here,” I said. “You guys had been fooled by a kid.”

“Looks like you guys were looking for deaths only. Go get em,” and thus our battle commence again.

Topaz was waiting for Yosuke to approach him but Yosuke was hiding in the darkness. Topaz stood for a while then Yosuke finally attacked Topaz from behind! With his right kodachi sword Topaz was able to block Yosuke’s blade but unfortunately he was stabbed by Yosuke’s left blade. Topaz tried to counter it by stabbing Yosuke with his other kodachi sword but Yosuke was once again retreated back to the darkness.

“Stop hiding in the darkness and fight me!” Topaz finally lost his temper.

“Okay.”

Topaz thought that Yosuke was again behind him so he quickly turned around and defends with his kodachi but he was wrong. Yosuke was indeed right in front of him and Yosuke threw his blade to Topaz’s right hand, making Topaz unable to properly stand up.

“Darn it!”

“Your defense is perfect but once you’re unaware of it it’s useless also,” smiled Yosuke and he slashed Topaz’s back with his only dagger.

Topaz screamed and soon he was dead.

One down, three to go.

“So you’re not dead yet, hunk?” asked Diamond.

“Yea. Thanks to you,” and Ken took out his claws and run towards Diamond. Ken immediately paused his movement when Diamond threw a needle right in front of him.

“Becareful. It’s poison. Hohohoho.”

“So what? I ain’t afraid of you,” and again Ken run towards Diamond.

No matter how Diamond tries to throw her poison needles at Ken she was just too slow – Ken had avoided all of them.

Finally Ken was right in front of her. Diamond backed herself until she was unable to retreat – she was trapped next to a ceiling by Ken.

“You dare to hurt a beautiful woman?” threatened Diamond.

“Why not? You’ve hurt me once so I guess this is pay back,” Ken smiled evilly and thrust his claws through Diamond’s body.

Two down, two to go.

Halcon kept on shooting at Koyasu but Koyasu avoided all his shots by simply just standing there and only moving his body. Koyasu slowly approached Halcon by walking step by step. Halcon started to panic so he kept on shooting but when Koyasu was almost near him, he was finally out of bullets. He quickly searched his pockets for bullets but it has been all used up.

Then Koyasu whispered to Halcon behind his back, “without concentration and patience, you will never get your target.” Then Koyasu slashed Halcon’s back with his sword.

Three down, ready to take down the leader.

Mikoto was sitting on her seat, looking at the clock and now it’s already 11.00pm. Sayu approached her and asked, “Yu’s not here yet?”

Mikoto just shook her head.

The party was cheery and everyone was enjoying their Christmas party. It was the season after all.

“Why wait for that guy? He’s just only keeping a cute girl like you waiting. Why not dance with me? He’s just an ass” asked her boy classmate.

“You don’t understand anything!” Mikoto slapped him.

“Okay. Okay. I’ll leave. Sheesh. Weird girl,” the guy complained to his friend beside him.

“Please come to the party, Yu,” Mikoto hoped.

I was fighting with Jade on top of the construction and it was difficult since the space was limited for me to move and Jade was so hyperactive.

“What’s the matter? Miss your little girlfriend? Hehehe,” provoked Jade.

“Why do you want to know about Shakunetsu’s location?” I asked.

“It’s for revenge,” he said. “Little kids like you should be sleeping now. Die!” Jade was jumping towards me.

“You’ve framed me and my teammates, hurt them and also even tried to hurt Mikoto. I can’t forgive you!!!” Eventhough his razor blades were small, I managed to block Jade and fling him away from the place and he was falling to the sea.

“No!!! I will be back one day!!!” Jade yelled and he was dropped into the sea from an eight storey high construction building.

“Looks like Teufel’s finally done for,” I thought. Revenge? Who is he looking for?

Mikoto was walking on the dark streets and she was a little jealous and irritated to see hot couples doing sweet talks to each other. In fact, she was disappointed that she had no one to accompany her for this Christmas Eve. She escaped from the party because it was meaningless for her to stay there any longer. As she approached the giant Christmas tree of about three-storey high, she saw someone familiar. It was me!

She shouted my name happily and hugged me in front of the Christmas tree.

“Why are you so late?” she cried on my chest. “I wait and wait and wait but you never show up.”

“Gomen, Mikoto,” I apologized.

“I don’t care about you anymore!”

I grabbed her face with both my hands and faced it to my face and I said, “Mikoto…”. Then I kissed her. Then bells started to ring loudly and it was already 12.00am, Christmas!

“Merry Christmas!” I smiled at her.

“Merry Christmas, Yu!” she smiled but some of her tears were still flowing.

This is the best Christmas present I ever had.

The next day when our units went and tried to retrieve Teufel's dead bodies whom we killed last night, but it was gone! I got this feeling that Teufel hasn’t died yet.

“I will be back someday, Night Assassins,” said Jade, as he was hiding himself behind the corner while watching Yu and Mikoto walking to school holding hands.

Night Assassins special edition! This time I was going to have Night Assassins having a group whom they had difficult fighting with – Teufel! Teufel in german means ‘Devil’ and members of Teufel are actually named after crystals! I decided to make Yu and Mikoto to be together since they always can’t make up their mind confessing to each other. Sheesh! Makes me irritated also. Hehe. Well, really hope you all had enjoyed! “Christmas. It is definitely a time for people to share joy and happiness with their beloved friends and families with their blessings.”

“Ah….! Christmas is finally here!” said Mikoto cheerfully.

“Yes. Christmas is here,” said Sayu, who was trying to choose a gift, “so are you going to spend the Christmas Eve alone with Yu? Huh?”

“Hahaha. Don’t tease me, Sayu,” said the blushing Mikoto.

“God! If you don’t make a move how will he knows that you like him? He will run to other girls by the time you’ve made up your mind, Mikoto!” again Sayu teased.

“R-Really? Hahaha,” Mikoto tried her best to laugh from Sayu’s cold joke. Then Mikoto seriously thought, “maybe my relationship with Yu aren’t that close just like Sayu had said.”

Falling Snow

PART ONE – BAD ENCOUNTER

“No! Please don’t kill me! I promise I will be good this time! Trust me!” yelled a man at a dark, cold street corner, begging for mercy.

The young teenage boy just stared at him but before the man could say thank you the teenage boy thrust his sword through his chest.

“NO!!!!!” That was only the man’s last word.

“If you knew it from the beginning, then why would you have done it?” said the boy in a pitiful way.

“That’s right, Yu!” said a rough voice behind. “Never ever let your enemies get in your way.”

“Don’t listen to Ken, Yu,” said a young man beside Ken. “He might be right but sometimes it will only make us a bloody killer.”

“Whatever you say, Yosuke. Let’s call it quits for tonight. Ahhh! It’s a relief that we won’t be having anyone on our blacklist for this month otherwise it will just spoil the season we’re celebrating!” said Ken.

“Yea, otherwise I won’t have time to spend with her,” I said..

“You mean your little girlfriend?” Ken rubbed his fist against my head.

“Stop it, Ken! You’re hurting me! Ow!”

When we were leaving the scene, a shadow lurking in the street corner gave an evil grin behind our backs which barely made us noticed it.

I am Seihou Yu, a 17-year old boy who studies in a high school just like any other ordinary kid will do but the only difference is I’m a trained assassin. It started back a year ago when I first met Emiko, my secretary, when she first offered me to join the secret police headquarter called ‘Shakunetsu’. There I was trained to be one and I was able to avenge my sister’s death from their help. I joined a special unit called ‘Night Assassins’ where they use melee weapons instead of guns because we have special body capabilities. Night Assassins consist of four members: Me, a sword specialist; Keniichi or Ken for short, claw expert; Yosuke, a twin blade master and our leader Koyasu, who is a samurai sword professional. Together, we work as a team and every time we had a case, we had to murder our victims in just one night. You could be wondering where could have Koyasu gone to, right? Well, he’s having a vacation in Hokkaido enjoying himself. Sometimes a leader needs a rest, right?

Back at the headquarters, Emiko praised us, “Well done you all! Looks like you all can finally relax! Now go out and enjoy Christmas!” But before we could leave the room, Emiko added, “don’t forget. If there’s a case appear we might have to summon you all back.”

We all nodded and left the place but Emiko was rather worried as she was holding an article and it was titled ‘Teufel’.

“Should I warn them or not…?” she ask herself.

Koyasu was soaking himself in a hot spring until he got up and was about to leave. Just then, a man entered the hot spring and told Koyasu he had left his stuff at the hot spring. As Koyasu turn around and looking at the spring, the man suddenly took out a razor blade and stabs Koyasu, making Koyasu fell to the spring, floating with blood spilled all over the spring.

The man just laughed and left the hot spring.

“Just two more days till Christmas! I really hope I can spend the night with Mikoto,” I thought. I was walking to school passing through the busy streets. Everyone was really enjoying themselves in this snowy season. Just as I was passing through a candy shop, the shop suddenly exploded and soon the shop was covered in flames. I was blown away by the explosion and get up to find lots of people had been injured if not dead. Feeling curious, I walked towards the burning shop and try to see what happen but instead I heard a little boy crying for help. A woman was screaming for help, asking people to save her five-year old only son. I just stood there, watching the little kid choking in the flames but then I remembered that I had to save him – I used to work as a help and rescue unit. I rushed into the shop, covering myself with my arms. Soon I was by the kid’s side and I carried him with both of my arms and when I did a flame of wood tumble down from the floor, blocking the escape path. Just then I saw strange red markings on the wall, written ‘NA’. It’s weird to see this kind of markings on the wall but now it’s not the time to think about that! I must escape and save this kid. What should I do? I guess I had no choice. I have to gamble my luck! I’ll just make my breakthrough by bashing through these flames! Here goes nothing! I stood standby, swallowing my courage and then I rushed through the flames with all my might by closing my eyes! Soon, I was tumbling out of the store safely, with the child in the arms. The mother of the child came towards him and hugged him with tears, feeling glad that he’s safe. I just sat there on the floor, sweeping the dust off myself watching them finally able to get together again. Man, this is the most craziest morning I had in my life!

“Sorry Sensei! Just now there’s an explosion on my way to school and I was involved,” I explained to my class teacher.

“This is absurd! You may go to your seat. We’re already midway during the class. Kids these days. Sheesh. Don’t know what they’re thinking always,” mumbled my class teacher.

Soon it was recess. I didn’t do anything special except sitting in my seat thinking what caused the explosion. And what is with the word ‘NA’? This is weird. Surely the special investigation group is doing their job right now. Hmm….

“Hey Mikoto! This is your chance! Go ask him!” encouraged Sayu by her side while staring at me.

Mikoto boosted up her courage and walked to me and shyly she asked, “hey Yu. Ano… I was wondering if you wanna come to Jenna’s Christmas Party tomorrow night?”

“Sure. Why not? I got nothing else to do,” I smiled at her.

“That’s great! Ja, I’ll see you there tomorrow night!” she was smiling very happily.

“Is Seihou Yu here?” asked three agents by the classroom door.

“I am,” I answered while standing up.

“Please come with us. We got important things to discuss with you.”

I looked at Mikoto for a while, and then I followed them. The class was surprised to see me taken away by some agents, even Mikoto.

When I was about to get into the car, I asked them, “so is there an important mission for me?”

One of the agents looked at me and said, “Mission for you? Looks like you got it wrong, kid.” As soon as he finished his sentence, he pushed me into the car and drove me away.

Night Assassins Christmas Special

I was forced into Shakunetsu’s jail with my hands handcuffed. I tried to fight back by yelling “What is this all about?” but it was futile.

“Welcome to our paradise,” said a rough voice behind me.

“Ken? Why are you doing here? And Yosuke too?” I was shocked to find that Ken and Yosuke were jailed too.

“Yea. I was doing my big time enjoying my breakfast until I was locked in here thanks to them,” complained Ken.

“So why are we locked in here,” I asked.

“It seems that they thought the explosion occurred in the town was done by us. They deciphered a code written ‘NA’ in the exploded shop as ‘Night Assassins’ and they thought we did it,” Emiko explained, behind the bars.

“Emiko!” the three of us felt relief to see Emiko here.

“Isn’t it obvious?” I yelled. “Anyone knows that the code written ‘NA’ was just only trying to set us up! So this is what ‘NA’ stands for! No wonder it was so weird.”

“You were at the scene?” asked Ken.

“Yes. I was trying to rescue a kid who was trapped inside the burning shop and I found the code ‘NA’ inside the shop.”

“So how long are we going to stay in here, Emiko?” asked Yosuke.

“Not long once they’ve learn that you three have been set up,” said Emiko.

“Is Koyasu going to be back too?” I was curious since Koyasu’s part of the team too.

“Yes,” she answered.

A few while later we were finally released and we were sent to our mission room. Koyasu too entered the room and the three of us were surprised to find him back.

“Koyasu! You’re back!” I greeted him. “What happened to your chest?”

“I was attacked by someone in Hokkaido,” he explained. Koyasu’s chest was bandaged but it seemed that he’s fine. “it was only a slight injury but the culprit thought he killed me.”

“Who the bastard was trying to kill us!?” yelled Ken, feeling furious.

“Everyone settled down!” commanded Emiko. “As you guys knew already, you all have been set up by the people who had written the code ‘NA’. They are ‘Teufel’.”

“Teufel?” I interrupted.

“Yes. Teufel. They are a group of assassins from Germany whom they accept cases from clients who wants their enemies dead. So they’re not the type of assassins as you guys are. We don’t have their photos and we’re not sure where they are now. But there’s a high possibility that they’re hanging out at Coco Paradise Nightclub. Your mission is obviously to kill them off and I’m afraid you four might have to bring along your weapons at all times since they’re targeting you. I wish you all luck. Night Assassins, dismissed!”

“Looks like we can get our revenge,” smiled Ken.

“I dunno. They sound dangerous,” I said.

“What? Are you afraid?” teased Ken.

“No I’m not! Hmm… it’s so weird. I thought our covers are hidden but how did they find out about us, Emiko?” I asked.

“I’m not so sure. We don’t have enough details.”

“So what do we do now, leader?” asked Yosuke.

“We should investigate Coco Paradise Nightclub first,” suggested Koyasu.

Night Assassins Christmas Special

“Man, sure lots of people tonight. This is very annoying,” complained Ken. Indeed Ken was right. The nightclub was crowded, making us very difficult to make sure whether Teufel was hanging around here or not. The nightclub was dark and everyone was enjoying themselves to a drink and if not, a dance.

“Let’s separate and search,” ordered Koyasu.

We all nodded and went our own ways.

Ken was searching around the bar until he saw a lady of 28s with a green long hair and dressed in a red dress smiling at him.

“Care for a drink?” the lady smiled.

“Well, I… uh…”

“I’m a bit lonely now. Will you please accompany my boredom?” the lady bowed a little, showing a little of the top of her breast.

“Sure. Why not?” Ken answered.

Koyasu was wandering around and soon he found a man who had this weird grin on his face that he’s very familiar with - the guy who had stabbed him back at the hot spring. Because the man was talking with another two people, Koyasu thought that the two people that he’s talking to might be his companion and Koyasu quickly called me and Yosuke to follow him. As we approached them, they seemed to notice us and we went back door. Feeling that they might try to escape from us, we rushed to the back door but as we tried to come out something was shot at me since I was the one in front but fortunately I avoided the shot. A man wearing a brown swallowtail and a cowboy hat was aiming his shotgun at us.

“Darn. I’ve missed it!” said the man desperately and beside him was his other three companions.

“You guys are Teufel, right?” Koyasu asked.

“That’s right,” said the man who stabbed Koyasu earlier. “We are Teufel. I’m Jade and this lady here is Diamond. The guy with the shotgun is Halcon and the last guy over there is Topaz. Have you been enjoying yourself? Hehehe.”

“You’re the guy who stabbed me back at the hot spring!” shouted Koyasu.

“Ara? You’re not dead yet? Darn. Looks like you got lucky,” said Jade. “Diamond, you go first. After I’ve finished them off we’ll be there, k?”

“Alright, Jade. Oh. I forgot to mention to you that your friend was lying at the back alley struggling. Hahaha.” And Diamond just walked off.

“Why you!” I tried to rush to Diamond to get my hands on her but I was blocked by Teufel.

“Why don’t you get us first?” as soon as Jade finishes his sentence we were separate in our own battle.

Yosuke tried to quickly finish his opponent by stabbing Topaz with his twin blade but unfortunately Topaz’s twin blade was much longer than his. In fact, Topaz was using a kodachi.

It was hopeless for Yosuke to attack because Topaz’s defense was so prefect that he blocked all of Yosuke’s attacks.

I was rushing towards Halcon and each shot that Halcon tried to shoot at me I just avoided it by only moving to another side so it was an easy avoid. Then I quickly rushed to Halcon and tried to slash him but without knowing it Halcon blocked my sword and taking the chance or at the same time he reloaded the bullet, pushed me aside and shot me at the chest but it didn’t get me – I managed to avoid it by blocking the bullet with my sword.

Koyasu’s battle with jade was a much difficult one. Koyasu was using his sword and Jade was using two razor blades. His speed surpassed Koyasu so it’s difficult for him to reach him. Some parts of his clothes were torn because of him.

During halfway of the battle, Koyasu asked him, “how do you find out about our identities?”

“Hehehe. You want to know?” Jade grinned evilly. “Your security system is so poor that Topaz easily hacked into the system.”

“Why are you attacking us? Are we on your list?”

“No. We come to Japan because we’re only interested on killing you guys. You guys are the unbeatable assassins in Japan so we wanted to challenge you. Hahaha.”

“Darn you!”

Koyasu finally managed to fling Jade aside but Jade just grinned and said, “I wished I could have finished you off tonight but looks like our time is up. See ya next time. Bye Bye!” And the three of them left.

“Man, they’re crazy,” I commented.

“We forgot about Ken!” Yosuke reminded us.

The three of us rushed to the back of the alley and found Ken lying on the floor.

“Ken! Ken! You okay?”
