Chocolate
Frenzy
“Ah-ha! This is what I’ve been looking for!” said Miyuki
happily as if she had just found a treasure.
Almost everyone in the library immediately gave her the
‘shh!’ when she shouted out.
Miyuki quickly bowed down in ashamed to apologize for the minor ruckus that she
had made.
With the book in her hands, in her heart she smiled so
brightly that on the surface, it
could have been mistaken as an evil laugh. Drawing minimum attention, she slowly escaped out of the library
while trying to hide the book in her hands.
In case you’re wondering who’s this cute but rather short
with a childish figure and her hair tied with two little ponytails, she is
Miyuki Tanikawa. With the book entitled ‘Little Witch’s Secret Mixed Potions’ in her possession, she dashed across
the hall, hiding behind objects on the
way. However, she failed to escape
the area unseen when she bumped
into a guy who’s much taller than her,
out in the blue. Dropping to the ground while landing on her butt, she
gave out a small ‘ouch’. A helping hand stretched out towards her. Miyuki failed notice the person who was trying to help her is the person that she’s
not suppose to see. A tall (around 170cm), a short brown hair and a cute face
boy stood in front of her – it was Keisuke Sasakura. Before she could accept his offer, her face immediately turns tomato-red. Standing up abruptly, she gave a short bow and ran away from the spot!
“That was close!” said
Miyuki as she catches her breath. She felt glad that
she’s able to escape from the scene.
Little does she know that she had actually dropped her book
back there. It was eventually picked up by Keisuke.
“What’s this?” Keisuke said to himself, when he studied
the book cover. “Little Witch’s Secret Mixed Potions… Why is she holding this book around secretly?”

“Ahhh! I’ve lost it! Where could I have dropped it?” Miyuki
yelled across the house as she searched through her room.
“What’s with the yelling, sis?” said Kenta, Miyuki’s little
brother, as he stood at Miyuki’s room’s door.
“I’ve wasted the whole afternoon looking for the book in the library and now it’s lost! Wah! Where
could it be?” Miyuki cried loudly as she kneeled on the ground.
“You could have used the internet, you know,” said
Kenta.
“Internet?” Miyuki stopped
crying.
“Here, all you have to do is go to www.googgled.com
and search for the book’s name… ah! Here it is,” said Kenta as he clicked
around the web pages.
“Wow that was convenient! You only took a while to find the
book while I had to spend the whole
afternoon looking for it!” said Miyuki feeling impressed.
“That’s because you’re stupid, sis,” Kenta grinned.
“Alright! The flame in my heart is burning up again!” said Miyuki with fire burning in her eyes.
“Yea, yea. Please keep down your volume. I want to watch the
baseball match on TV,” said Kenta hopelessly as he walked off.
As soon as Kenta left the room, he heard another scream from
his sister’s room…”AH!!! The paper
is stuck in the printer!”
Kenta gave out a loud sigh and said, “She’s really hopeless,
isn’t she?”

“Oh no! Another failure!”
Miyuki gave a small sigh as she looked at the smoked chocolate. “Ah…I’ll do it once more!”
After another few hours in the kitchen, she finally made a
successful looking chocolate
however…
“Bleh! It tastes bitter!” said Miyuki. “But I already packed
up the chocolate though…” she stared at the beautifully decorated chocolate in a white box and pink ribbon tied
around it. After thinking for a while (before her brain fries up), she decided
to make a new one.
“Alright! Let’s do it again,” she encouraged herself.
“Chocolate! Fight on! Fight on! Fight on!”
Finally around 11.30 p.m., she completed another one. This
time, she’s satisfied with the taste
produced by the chocolate in her mouth.
“Yes! Finally,
a big success!” Miyuki smiled happily. “He’ll fall in love with me for sure as soon as he take a bite of it!” Miyuki’s eyes beamed with hope.
“Yawn…I’m beat. I guess I better go to bed early so I can get ready for the
battle tomorrow! Miyuki! Fight on! Fight on! Fight on!”

RRRIIIINNNGGG….*WHAM!*
“It’s finally morning!” Miyuki smiled brightly as she rose from her bed. In case you’re
wondering where the smacking sound
came from, Miyuki woke up too excited that she accidentally gave a large bang on her alarm clock! Then she said
something to remind herself, “I better put the chocolate into my bag before I
forgot to bring it to school!”
She happily dashed to the kitchen, get the chocolate from
the refrigerator and put it into her school bag. After that she went and took a
shower.
At this time, Kenta entered the kitchen and get himself a
bottle of milk from the fridge. He happened to notice the ‘failure chocolate’ that his sister made last
night. Then he thought, “I better help her put this chocolate into her
schoolbag or else she’ll start making a lot of noise about forgetting to take it with her just like last year.”
Being smart, Kenta took the ‘failure chocolate’ and placed
it into Miyuki’s schoolbag.
“That should do the trick!” Kenta smiled, feeling that he
was such a wonderful little brother after doing a good deed for his sister.

“Class 2-A…. check! Chocolate in bag….check! Classroom
empty….check! Now to infiltrate the classroom!” Miyuki slowly crept into the classroom
as if she is some ninja. She went to seat no. 9 and quickly
put the chocolate into the drawer and then smiled sinisterly.
“Now for the magic to work!” she said to herself.
However, when she was
trying to slip away from the classroom, she bumped into someone once again. Unfortunately, it was
Keisuke again.
“Are you alright?” before Keisuke could ask her this question
she was gone just like the wind.
“That was fast…”
“Huff…puff…” Miyuki panted after she had successfully hid
herself from Keisuke once again. “Why do I always bump into him? This is so
embarrassing.”

“Hmm… how come he hasn’t discovered the chocolate yet?” said Miyuki. She was hiding behind a tree
spying on Keisuke who happened to rest under a tree. While she continue to spy
on Keisuke, suddenly a guy patted on her shoulder.
Miyuki turned around and ask him, “What can I do for you?”
Standing right in front of her is a guy about her height,
but a little taller, He has a
nerdy appearance and wears a rectangular-shaped spectacles. The guy said, “Are you Miyuki?”
Miyuki blurted out a confused look and asked him, “Who might
you be?”
“Aiyah! Please don’t pretend like you don’t know me. I’m
Yohei, the one you gave chocolate to!” said Yohei.
“Excuse me?”
“Aw… c’mon! You’re trying to fool me again! You’re the one
who put the chocolate into my drawer! But it’s alright. That’s not the
important thing. The important thing is…
I’ve fell in love with you too!”
said Yohei, expressing his love.
“What?” exclaimed Miyuki.
“Aw… don’t be shy now! I know you like me!” said Yohei as he
tried to hug Miyuki.
“Sorry, I think you made a mistake! Uh… I gotta go now,
bye!” she disappeared from Yohei’s sight, dashing away at full speed.
“Come back, dear! I love you!” said Yohei while running after her clueless.
For the third time, Miyuki again managed to hide herself,
except this time it’s not from Keisuke.
“Huff…puff…What’s going on here? Don’t tell me I’ve put the
chocolate in the wrong drawer! Oh no! Keisuke’s seat number is supposed to be
six, not nine! What a dummy I am! If Yohei got my chocolate and ate it that
means he’ll love me forever!” Miyuki knocked her head with both her fists.
“What am I gonna do, what am I gonna do? I guess the only thing to do is
confess to Keisuke! But this is so embarrassing… No, Miyuki. You must not give up. This is the one and only day when you can do it! Miyuki! Fight on! Fight on! Fight on!”

Thus Miyuki starts her second battle – confession!
Though it may sound easy but, every time Miyuki
tried to approach Keisuke she was bounced
off by a bunch of girls! The obvious reason is because, Keisuke happened to be very popular with the girls in the school.
“Uh…why is it so hard to approach him when I want to?”
Miyuki asked herself.
She tried approaching
him once more but unfortunately,
Yohei managed to find her and went
chasing after her again.
“Come back, sweetie! Why are you playing hide-and-love-seek
with me? Do you really enjoy this thrill?” said Yohei as he goes after Miyuki, who went fleeting away.
“Huff…puff…Why do I have to run so much today on Valentine’s?” said Miyuki while resting under a tree in a secluded spot. “School even ended already.”
Not long after,
someone came behind Miyuki. Miyuki thought it was Yohei again and tried to make
a run for it. However this time it
was not Yohei. Instead, it was Keisuke!
“Why are you here,”
Miyuki asked Keisuke, as her face turned red.
“Well, this is my usual hiding spot,” said Keisuke, shrugging. “What are you doing here?”
“Hehe. I was hiding too,” Miyuki smiled.
“Oh really?” said Keisuke as he took a seat beside Miyuki.
“Keisuke, I…” said Miyuki when she suddenly stood up. “I….”
“Miyuki! I’ve finally found you!” interrupted Yohei suddenly.
“Your boyfriend?” asked Keisuke.
“No!!!” yelled Miyuki.
“Oh c’mon, dear! Please don’t be shy!” said Yohei with his
arms stretched towards Miyuki.
“Like I said, I don’t like you! I like Keisuke!” yelled Miyuki. “Oops…”
“…Is that true,
Miyuki?” asked Keisuke after a brief
moment of time.
“I…I…”
“…actually I… I like you too, Miyuki!” said Keisuke
happily.
“But… how?” Miyuki asked.
“Well, I’m not really sure about it myself but one thing I
know for sure… I like to see that cheerful smile of yours. It really
brightens my day by a lot,” smiled Keisuke.
“Keisuke…” said Miyuki.
“Sigh…party pooper,” said Yohei feeling sad. “Anyways, I really want to
thank you for your bitter chocolate. I’m not fond of sweet things anyway.”
“Huh? Bitter
chocolate?” asked Miyuki.
“Didn’t you make me a bitter chocolate for Valentine’s Day?”
said Yohei. “Goodbye, my dear love.” Yohei walked away, leaving both Keisuke
and Miyuki alone while feeling slump.
“I’m
glad that the effect has wore
off,” Miyuki gave out a small sigh, feeling relieved.
“You mean you actually used the ingredients
from ‘Little Witch’s Secret Mixed Potion?” asked Keisuke.
“Ahhh! How did you find out about that?” Miyuki blushed.
“Well, you kinda dropped it yesterday when
you bumped into me,” Keisuke explained.
“This is embarrassing,” Miyuki’s face went
red again.
“Sigh. So I guess there’s no chocolate
for me, huh?” said Keisuke.
“Not quite! ^_^” said Miyuki cheerfully as she took out another
box of chocolate from her schoolbag.
“HAPPY
VALENTINE’S DAY!”
“This
chocolate… Is it… edible?” asked Keisuke,
holding the chocolate in his hands. “What
did you add to it?”
“Well, I just followed the instructions stated in the book. I added a couple of lizard’s
tail and some rotten eggs to it,” smiled Miyuki.
“Is this REALLY safe for me?”
thought Keisuke as he smiled bitterly.
However, at this
very moment, Yohei was spending his time in the restroom….
